Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical endoscopic method that performs various gynecological surgical procedures under general anesthesia (surgical treatment of endometriosis, removal of various types of ovarian cysts and paraovarian cysts, uterine fibroids) without a classic incision, through a couple of entry points on the abdomen, with the help of a camera and working instruments , pathological changes on the fallopian tubes, as well as checking the patency of the fallopian tubes, pelvic adhesions, chronic pelvic pain, laparoscopic sterilization, etc.)

Laparoscopic procedures can be:

  • Operative - for the above-mentioned indications
  • Diagnostic – determination of the condition in the pelvis and abdomen

In contrast to open surgeries with a classic incision, the advantages of laparoscopic surgeries are a lower rate of complications of all kinds and infections, faster and painless recovery, a shorter stay in the hospital (usually only one night), less bleeding during the procedure.
