Pharmacogenetics

The goal of pharmacogenetics is to understand how an individual's genome affects the action of drugs in the body and the occurrence of frequent side effects. In short, pharmacogenetics helps the physician in prescribing the best possible therapy as well as drug dose, while reducing the risk of side effects and overdose at the same time, but also in preventing side effects caused by drug interactions.
