Steps to the brightest smile

1. Examination by an oral surgery specialist

Quality bone, health and bone volume are the most important factors when deciding to install a dental implant. Modern radiological diagnostics are used to accurately diagnose and determine the position at which the implant will be placed.

2.Finding the best solution for the patient with an individual approach

We provide each patient with the best solution exclusively for his case. The patient, his wishes and health are our number one priority.

1.With a top team of experts implant placement is almost completely painless

If the bone is of good quality for implant placement, the Dental Centre team will begin implantation. If the bone is not good enough, our team will offer you other options and permanent solutions for your situation. It is important to emphasize that the procedure of implant placement is painless because it is performed under local anesthesia.

      2. Installing a crown or bridge

After the installation of dental implants, it is possible to start making the necessary prosthetic construction, ie a crown or bridge, after only 5 weeks, because we use Straumann SLactive implants that heal from the bone in 4 weeks!

        Advantages of implants

        • fixed solution - unlike mobile dentures, the new tooth over the implant does not move and completely takes over the function of the lost tooth and enables proper masticatory function. Most importantly, the adjacent teeth are not ground
        • durability - implants can last a long time if the patient maintains proper hygiene and visits the dentist regularly (check-ups)
        • painless and safe - our team of experts with extensive experience performs all procedures responsibly and professionally according to the highest criteria of excellence, and therefore all procedures are safe and almost painless
        • return to everyday lifestyle - a beautiful and natural smile restores self-confidence to each of our patients and return to daily routine
        • improved oral health - dental implant is responsible for the correct position of other teeth within the dentition and also prevents their further movement. Likewise, the implant protects the bone from resorption

        Who is a candidate

Dental implants replace missing teeth. The implant plays the role of the tooth root by connecting with the bone (osseointegration). It becomes a permanent part of the masticatory system after the crown is placed and the patient feels as if he has his teeth back. In our office we work with the Straumann system of dental implants that guarantee quality and longevity and that has been on the market for the longest and is one of the scientifically best researched systems.

What to do if you are missing one or more teeth?

The precondition for placement of implants are healthy dental gums und maintenance of satisfactory oral hygiene as well as non-existence of systematic illnesses which require application of medicine preventing placement of dental implants. If you meet these preconditions you are an ideal candidate for placement of dental implants.

Preparation and course of the procedure

Prior to the procedure, a detailed dental examination should be performed, followed by an orthopan (jaw image) and/or CBCT (three-dimensional jaw view showing bone density and dimensions). It is important to inform your dentist about any type of drug therapy, diseases, previous surgeries, allergies before the procedure. In agreement with the dentist, it is necessary to thoroughly clean soft and hard deposits on the teeth before the procedure, at an interval of no more than 7 days.

The sole procedure of dental implant placement lasts half an hour, is performed under local anaesthesia and the patient's recovery after the surgery is swift. The process of healing and bonding of the implant with the bone lasts between 6 and 12 weeks and thereafter the crown on the implant is made.

When supplying the implants, we apply the newest principles which ensure long-term bone and soft tissue stability.

Dental implants require the same hygiene care as teeth. It is very important to regularly brush teeth, use dental floss and interdental brushes for spaces between teeth, use antibacterial mouth washes and go to regular dentist's appointments, so that inflammation around the implant – periimplantitis, which leads to loss of the implant, is prevented.

        Recovery and precautions

After the procedure, the discomfort and pain should be of minimal intensity. There may be slight swelling of the face and less bleeding in the area where the implant is placed, so it is necessary to use cold compresses. The dentist will prescribe the necessary pain medication. It is recommended to eat soft foods for a period of five to seven days after the procedure.

The sutures need to be removed seven days after the procedure.

        Precautions:

Regular and proper oral hygiene is extremely important - using a soft toothbrush and brushing your teeth regularly in the morning and evening, flossing and/or an interdental brush.

Avoid rinsing the oral cavity for the first 24 hours after the procedure and after that period it is recommended to rinse the oral cavity every 4 hours with the recommended chlorhexidine-based preparation.

In rare cases, rejection of the dental implant may occur, depending on the patient's organism, but also depending on the implementation of oral hygiene after the procedure.

All on 4 and All on 6

"All on four” means four implants and “all on six” means six implants which carry a line of 10 to 14 teeth and replace teeth in case of toothless patients.

It is a fixed prosthetic replacement (bridge on implants) with the role of rehabilitation of the chewing system. The advantage of this system is immediate loading of the implant, meaning that for 24 hours the toothless patient is given temporary teeth, which are after 6 months replaced with permanent teeth. It is important to note that the stated type of the implant-prosthetic solution is not, as advertised, the „golden standard for all patients“, but requires a thorough candidate selection – that is why we do not offer „for everybody and for everything“, but recommend a solution following a detailed analysis of your problem.

Make an appointment for an examination and find out if you are a candidate for the mentioned implant-prosthetic therapy.
