General Surgery Specialist, Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist, Traumatology Subspecialist

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb in 1988 as a regular student with excellent results. Considering that he had a contract with the Pakrac Medical Center at the time, he started working immediately at the beginning of 1988 as a doctor in his father's practice, and he volunteered at the surgery.

He specialize in surgery for MC Pakrac. He passed the specialist exam in the fall of 1992. He waited out the Homeland War in Pakrac for surgery. Due to the impossibility of working in the wartime conditions at the time, they were transferred to the Kutina Health Center, where they formed a wartime hospital and surgical teams together with their colleagues from the orthopedic department of KBC Zagreb. He gained extensive experience in the triage and treatment of war injuries. He is the owner of the Homeland War Memorial as a volunteer doctor.

In 1997, he moved to the Clinic for Traumatology in Zagreb, where he work until today. He passed the subspecialist exam in traumatology there, and by virtue of the acquired rights became a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology. He has been a professional associate at OB Dubrovnik since 2014. He has examinations and operations there once a month. For two years, he was also a professional associate of OB Bjelovar. As a guest operator-educator, he operated in almost all hospitals and clinics in Croatia, as well as in hospitals of ex-Yugoslavia (Sarajevo, Zenica, Skopje, Podgorica). He is active and passive participant in numerous congresses, courses in Croatia and abroad. He is initial member of AIOD (also for intramedullary fixation)

In these 35 years of continuous work, he has performed a large number of surgical and orthopedic trauma procedures. He performed up to 500 orthopedic traumatological procedures annually, introduced numerous operative techniques in his Clinic and in Croatia into daily practice (shoulder, knee, elbow prosthetics, intramedullary fixation of long bones, arthroscopic knee, shoulder and ankle surgery, corrective joint and long bones).

In his daily practice, his experience in general surgery for treating complicated limb injuries and infections in bone and joint surgery comes in handy. He has a wide range of interests. He is doing primary and revision shoulder, knee and hip prosthetics; arthroscopic interventions on the knee, shoulder and ankle. 2 years ago he started with a total elbow prosthesis and he is very satisfied with the first results. He also treated a lot of nonunion fractures of long bones after failed osteosyntheses, complicated joint fractures, various ligament injuries, etc. He like to say that I first learned surgery, then traumatology and orthopedics.
