Maja Majdak, M.D.
She graduated from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 2008. After completing her mandatory internship at the Zagreb Centar Health Institution, and passing the state licensing exam, she began her residency in neurology in 2011 at the Department of Neurology, Dubrava University Hospital.
During her specialization, she also completed part of her training at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Centre Zagreb. She passed the neurology board exam in 2016 and has since been working as a specialist neurologist at the Department of Neurology, Dubrava University Hospital.
Since 2019, she has been involved as an external associate in the postgraduate specialist study program at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb. That same year, she successfully completed advanced training in evoked potentials at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb. In September 2023, she passed the subspecialty board exam in neuroimmunology.
Her main areas of professional interest include headaches and neuroimmunological diseases of the nervous system. Since 2017, she has been working in the subspecialist Headache Clinic and the Demyelinating Diseases Clinic, actively participating in the diagnosis and treatment of headaches and neuroimmunological disorders. She regularly attends numerous professional courses and training programs in these fields. She is a frequent speaker at national and international congresses on the topic of headaches and is a member of the Headache Section of the Croatian Neurological Society.
She has served as a peer reviewer for several reputable scientific journals and has authored multiple scientific and professional papers published in academic journals. She is also the author of a chapter on headaches in a textbook published by the University of Zagreb.
