Boris Bumber, M.D., Ph.D.
Boris Bumber, M.D., Ph.D. graduated at the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 2005.
After completing an internship at UHC Zagreb and passing the state exam in 2007. he began a residency in otorhinolaryngology at the Department of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery, UHC Zagreb, which he successfully finished in 2012.
From 2016. he is subspecialist in head and neck plastic surgery.
During his residency enrolled in Biomedicine and Health graduate studies, which he completed in 2018 by earning his PhD degree with the doctoral thesis entitled "The role of matrix metalloproteinases and their inhibitors in the development of cervical metastasis of papillary thyroid cancer." He is an external associate at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology with Audiology and Phoniatrics and the Council of the Fundamentals of Medical Skills, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb.
So far, he has published 10 scientific papers in journals indexed in Current Contents (CC), two indexed in SCI and one indexed in Embaso, and 12 conference papers at national and international congresses. In the last 10 years he performed over 2000 surgeries under general and local anesthesia. Many years of experience in operations on the neck, especially the thyroid and parathyroid glands, and pediatric surgery of the tonsils and adenoid vegetations.
