Associate Professor Emil Dediol, M.D., Ph.D.

Associate professor Emil Dediol, M.D., Ph.D. was admitted to the Medical School of the University of Zagreb in 1997, where he graduated in 2003 as one of the most successful students in his generation.

He completed his residency in maxillofacial surgery from 2004 to 2009 at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, University Hospital Dubrava in Zagreb, and in 2012 finished a subspecialisation in facial plastic surgery. He was awarded a scholarship from the European Association for Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery for education at University College London Hospital in 2009. He pursued further education at various clinics for plastic surgery in Glasgow, London, Dresden, Regensburg, Toronto, and New York. He has been an active participant in numerous congresses in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

He received his Ph.D. degree in 2013 at the Medical School of the University of Zagreb, where he has been employed as an associate professor in maxillofacial surgery since 2023. He is the author of numerous scientific articles in the field of head and neck surgery.

His expertise includes a wide range of surgical pathology of the head and neck, with a special interest in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and orthognathic surgery.
