Martina Matovinović, M.D., Ph.D. joined the team of St. Catherine Specialty Hospital in 2024

Martina Matovinović, M.D., Ph.D. graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 2003. She successfully passed the subspecialty examination in endocrinology and diabetology in 2017 and became a consultant endocrinologist and diabetologist.

Enthusiasm for the medical profession is intertwined with a passion for science, which is reflected in the teaching activities carried out at the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Zagreb, the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb, and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zagreb.

Her area of scientific and professional interest lies in endocrinology and diabetology, where she contributes to the advancement of the field and science by collaborating not only with other medical disciplines but also in interdisciplinary teams with other scientific institutions. She has a particular focus on obesity and type 2 diabetes from endocrinological, genetic, epigenetic, and microbiotic perspectives.
