Jasminka Salopek-Rabatić, MD, M. Sc., MBA is joining our St. Catherine Ophthalmology team.

Prim. mr. sci. Jasminka Salopek-Rabatić, MD, MBA, has extensive experience in the field of ophthalmology. Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous clinical practices and research projects, with particular distinction in international studies, including a clinical trial on the efficacy of azithromycin in treating adult inclusion conjunctivitis.

She has gained significant expertise in managing and organizing ophthalmology practices, as well as in long-term collaboration with various medical institutions. She places special emphasis on preventive eye examinations for adults and on promoting eye health through patient education and awareness of the importance of regular vision check-ups.

Her work with diverse patient groups has encompassed a wide range of ophthalmological activities - from diagnostics and treatment to surgical procedures and modern methods of disease monitoring - further shaping her comprehensive approach to ophthalmology. Her areas of interest include cataract and refractive surgery, glaucoma and modern monitoring and treatment methods, pediatric ophthalmology, contact lenses and related complications, dry eye syndrome, laser techniques in ophthalmology, public health aspects of ophthalmology, and preventive eye care in adults.

She is the author and co-author of more than 55 papers published in national and international professional and scientific journals, as well as a contributor to the textbook Ophthalmology of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine. At the international CLAO Congress in Florida in 2004, she won first prize in science for her research on chlamydial conjunctivitis in contact lens wearers.

As a regular member of numerous national and international professional societies, including the Croatian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the European Glaucoma Society, and CLAO/USA, she actively participates in congresses and professional meetings as a lecturer and moderator.
