Tamara Knežević, M.D., Ph.D.
Tamara Knežević, M.D., Ph.D. graduated from the School of Medicine of the University of Zagreb in 1999, after which she spent an internship at the Children's Hospital „Klaićeva“ in Zagreb. She specialized in ophthalmology at the Clinic for Ophthalmology of the University Hospital Centre "Sisters of Mercy" in Zagreb. From 2010 to 2018, she worked at the Ghetaldus Clinic. In 2016, she became a doctor of science in the field of genetics of senile macular degeneration.
As a lecturer, she participated in national and international congresses, as well as in numerous postgraduate courses of the first category of the School of Medicine of the University of Zagreb. She is the author of several scientific papers, three of which are indexed in the Current Contents database.
Tamara Knežević, M.D., Ph.D. is an active member of the Croatian Ophthalmological and Optometric Society and the Croatian Medical Association.
She speaks English, French and Spanish fluently. She is the mother of two girls, and in her free time she enjoys hiking and dancing.
