Sanja Berić Lerotić, MD, PhD, has come to St. Catherine Hospital in order to start working as an anesthesiologist, having prosperous experience among fields of anesthesiology, intensive care and pain medicine.
After graduating from The University of Zagreb, where she finished her medical education, she maintained her practice in The Clinical Hospital 'Sisters of Mercy' from 2001. to 2002.
In 2003. doctor Berić Lerotić started working in The Emergency Department, which is a sector of The Primary Health Centre in Sisačko-Moslavačka county, and remained working there for three years.
General Hospital 'Dr. Ivo Pedišić' in Sisak was a place where she decided to specialize in the medical field of anesthesiology, reanimatology and intensive care in 2006.
She was a resident in that area in the same hospital until 2016. and has acquired a vast accumulation of knowledge and great experience in the area of anesthesiology, reanimatology and pain menagment.
Doctor Berić Lerotić transfered to The Clinical Centre 'Sveti Duh' in 2016. where she remained working in the same field.
In a four year long education she finished postgraduate specialization coruses in The Committee for European Education in Anaesthesiology.
Furthermore, she has taken an abundant number of courses in the field of pain managment, as well as acupuncture training.
Doctor Berić Lerotić is a member of The Croatian Association for the Treatment of Pain, actively participating in international and domestic conferences.
She is also a member of Croatian Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Analgesia, being very active, especially her research interest including gynecology and obstetrics, as well as areas of orthopedy and trauma.
She actively participates in international symposia on intensive care.
In 2010. Doctor Berić Lerotić completed a thesis defense under the title 'The influence of ketamine, sevoflurane and nitrous oxide on cell-mediated immunity' at Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.
In 2014. she defended doctoral dissertation under the title 'Cellular immunity kinetics and cortisol concentration in pig's blood after inhaling sevoflurane anesthesia and nitrous oxyde' at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb.
Doctor Berić Lerotić is a senior instructor at the Faculty of Medicine, Jossip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.
She is an author of the study ' The effect of sevoflurane on the kinetics of CD45 + cells in coney's peripheral blood'
