Berina Divanović, M.D.
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sarajevo and completed her specialization in cardiology at the University Clinical Center in Sarajevo, earning the title of cardiology specialist at the age of 29.
After completing her specialization she validated her diploma and enhanced her German language skills in Switzerland (MEBEKO, Bern). She gained work experience in hospitals both in the region and abroad and continues to pursue further education at prestigious international institutes in Greece, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
She has developed specialized expertise in echocardiography, further refining her skills at the European Interbalkan Medical Center, where she mastered advanced techniques such as 4D transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and 2D strain-speckle tracking analysis. She also had the opportunity to observe the first implantation of the PASKAL Transcatheter Valve Repair System. Additionally, at the Medical Park Bahçelievler University Hospital in Istanbul, she observed modern cardiac catheterization procedures.
She is a member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), and the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE).
Her professional interests include echocardiography, valvular heart disease, and arterial hypertension.
She has authored several scientific papers and actively follows the latest advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases.
In addition to her native language, she is fluent in English and German and has a basic knowledge of French.
