Ana Medić Flajšman, M.D.

She was born in Zagreb, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb in 2014. As a student, she participated in projects that resulted in scientific papers, one of which brought her the Dean's award. After obtaining the title of Doctor of Medicine, she interned at the Vrapče Psychiatry Clinic and then began her career at the Zagreb County Health Center in the family medicine and pediatrics offices in Zaprešić.

After two and a half years of intensive work with patients in primary health care, she decided to specialize in dermatology and venereology, which she began in 2018 at the Clinic for Skin and Sexual Diseases of KBC Zagreb. During her residency, she completed professional postgraduate studies in dermatovenerology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb. Since the beginning of her residency, she has been a member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and has participated in numerous international and national congresses. She took the specialist exam in June 2022, after which she gained experience through dedicated work at the Department of Dermatovenerology at the General Hospital "dr. Ivo Pedišić" in Sisak and in the private clinic.

She regularly participates in continuing education courses. In 2019, she completed the international course in dermoscopy at the Faculty of Medicine in Graz, and in 2023, she completed the Masterclass course in dermoscopy in Rome with the world's leading dermoscopists, for which she also received diplomas.

Her narrower field of interest is dermoscopy, dermatological oncology, dermatological surgery and cosmetology.

In addition to her daily work, she devotes time to further training in the field of aesthetic medicine and is skilled in the application of Botulinum toxin, hyaluronic fillers in the lips and other injection treatments that are popular in aesthetic medicine such as Profhilo for the purpose of improving skin health with an emphasis on as natural a look as possible. In addition to injection treatments, she is skilled in removing capillaries and varicose veins on the legs by means of sclerotherapy. Even during her residency, she showed an interest in the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, and during her specialist work at the private clinic, she participated in the Outpatient Clinic for Sexual Health in an interdisciplinary team and gained experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.

In 2023, she was chosen as the "Best Doctor" and according to the votes of patients she is on the list of the best dermatologists in Croatia.
