Mesotherapy

What is mesotherapy and what is it used for?

Mesotherapy is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation and regeneration treatment in which vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, and other revitalizing substances are injected directly into the middle layer of the skin – the mesoderm – where tiny blood vessels are located.

Natural treatment

These active ingredients are essential for deep hydration, skin nourishment, and revitalization, significantly slowing down the aging process by accelerating metabolism, strengthening existing collagen and elastin, and stimulating the production of new ones. This restores skin elasticity, tone, and radiance. Initially, mesotherapy was used to reduce chronic pain and treat various medical conditions. Today, it has become an essential aesthetic treatment worldwide. This completely natural procedure is most commonly used for facial, neck and décolletage rejuvenation, as well as for the hands and body. It is also widely used for scalp treatment to combat hair loss and alopecia. Specifically, mesotherapy helps reduce wrinkles, tighten the skin, lighten hyperpigmentation spots and address various other aesthetic concerns.

What does a mesotherapy treatment look like?

Before the treatment, the targeted area is numbed with a local anesthetic. The skin is then thoroughly disinfected and microinjections are used to administer so-called "meso-cocktails"- active substances rich in various ingredients tailored to specific skin conditions. These may include hyaluronic acid, folic acid, oleic acid, lactic acid, vitamins A, C and E, ceramides, plant extracts, collagen and lifting cocktails suited to different skin types. A dermatologist selects the most appropriate meso-cocktail based on the patient's skin condition, age and desired results. For instance, mature skin requires a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid than skin in the twenties, while dry skin needs a completely different ratio of ingredients compared to oily skin. The goal is to evenly distribute the active ingredients beneath the skin using superficial injections.

Mesotherapy is typically performed in a series of 3 to 6 sessions according to a personalized treatment plan. Depending on the meso-cocktail composition, treatments are spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart, or at most, once a month. Maintenance treatments can be scheduled every two months or repeated as a full session after 6 to 8 months to sustain results. Regular sessions increase collagen production, reduce wrinkle depth, and improve skin tone. Results are visible after the first treatment, but optimal results require multiple sessions, depending on the treated area, the patient’s age and lifestyle. Each session lasts about 30 minutes, though the duration may vary based on the size of the treated area.

Mesotherapy can be performed alone or in combination with other aesthetic treatments. One popular combination includes a chemical peel followed by mesotherapy, enhancing skin glow and achieving a healthier appearance. This treatment is very comfortable and popular among patients.

Needle - free mesotherapy

Electroporation, also known as needle-free mesotherapy or virtual mesotherapy, is a modern, non-invasive and painless alternative to traditional mesotherapy. It is currently the most advanced method for transdermal delivery of natural active ingredients deep into the skin using electrical impulses. This technique is particularly effective for delivering macromolecules such as hyaluronic acid, proteins, peptides, and collagen, ensuring deep nourishment, hydration and skin rejuvenation. The anti-aging effect is visible after just one session, making this treatment suitable for both men and women.

Needle-free mesotherapy can address: uneven skin texture; inflammatory conditions on oily skin; enlarged pores and excessive sebum production; redness and broken capillaries; acne-prone skin; fine lines and wrinkles, including around the eyes and lips (lifting effect); dehydrated and tired-looking skin; loose and sagging skin; dark under-eye circles; skin irregularities (pigmentation spots, scars, blemishes).

What are the advantages of needle-free mesotherapy over traditional mesotherapy?

As the name "needle-free mesotherapy" suggests, the biggest advantage over traditional mesotherapy is that it is performed with a special device that does not use needles. This makes the method completely painless, safe, and relaxing. During needle-free mesotherapy, a high concentration of active ingredients in molecular form penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, providing a stronger and longer-lasting effect compared to mesotherapy with needles.

Mesotherapy

Because no micro-needles are used, the treatment is also non-invasive - meaning there is no redness, swelling or bruising after the session. This type of mesotherapy is suitable for all skin types, including highly sensitive skin.

Who is mesotherapy recommended for?

Mesotherapy is beneficial for all age groups. It can be started in the late twenties as a preventive measure against aging and facial rejuvenation. However, it is never too late for this treatment, which is why it is often referred to as the "youth serum" - mesotherapy remains an effective skin treatment at any age. It is particularly useful for people with dry and thin skin, stress-related signs of aging, sun-damaged skin and even certain skin conditions such as rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis. Mesotherapy cocktails specifically designed for these issues can significantly improve skin condition and overall appearance.
