Electrocoagulation

What is electrocautery or electrocoagulation?
These are methods that involve the application of electricity through a very thin needle or ball depending on the lesion being treated. The most common lesions removed are vascular formations or skin lesions on the face and body. This method is primarily used to remove cherry angiomas localized on the trunk skin, telangiectasias on the face, expanded capillaries and very often benign lesions such as fibromas, pedunculated warts on the neck, armpits, trunk and face, as well as seborrheic keratoses. A contraindication for this procedure is the presence of a pacemaker.
