An examination by internal medicine specialist
The specialist internal medicine examination consists of evaluations by an endocrinologist and a cardiologist. The aim of the examination is a comprehensive assessment of overall health, early detection of risk factors, and the preservation of long-term vitality and quality of life, forming the foundation of our Longevity approach.
Comprehensive endocrinological evaluation
The endocrinologist’s examination includes a detailed clinical assessment focusing on hormonal balance and metabolic health, as well as understanding their role in the aging process. Hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance and metabolic disorders often develop gradually and without obvious symptoms but significantly contribute to accelerated biological aging, chronic disease development, and declines in energy, muscle mass, and cognitive function.
After the clinical assessment, we further refine the metabolic profile through continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) using the SIBIONICS CGM sensor worn for 14 days. This modern, minimally invasive device measures glucose levels in interstitial fluid in real time, allowing a detailed analysis of daily blood sugar fluctuations.
Unlike a one-time laboratory measurement, CGM provides a dynamic insight into the relationship between glucose and diet, physical activity, stress, and sleep quality. This gives a precise picture of the individual metabolic response to daily habits.
Data collected over 14 days enables:
- Detection of hidden glycemic fluctuations and early insulin resistance
- Assessment of the impact of specific foods on glucose levels
- Analysis of metabolic flexibility
- Personalization of nutrition and lifestyle recommendations
- Objective monitoring of progress through measurable parameters
By integrating endocrinological findings with CGM data, we obtain a comprehensive view of metabolic health.
Cardiovascular health assessment
The cardiology examination includes a clinical assessment, blood pressure measurement, electrocardiogram (ECG), heart ultrasound and evaluation of carotid and vertebral arteries using color doppler imaging. This allows early detection of atherosclerotic changes and a more precise assessment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risk.
Since cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality and a major factor in reducing healthy lifespan, their early detection plays a crucial role in promoting longevity.
Additionally, an exercise stress test (ergometry) evaluates the functional capacity of the cardiovascular system, adaptation to physical exertion, and early signs of cardiac strain. These parameters are directly linked to physical endurance, daily functional ability and independence in older age – key components of healthy and active longevity.
