CONFERENCES AND SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS
Due to the exceptional professional and scientific reputation, Specialty Hospital St. Catherine, in only one year of existence, became the co-organizer of some of the most prestigious scientific events such as, for example, the 1st European-American Spine and Chronic Pain Symposium and Workshops, which was held from 14th to 16th September 2012 in Bol on island Brač in cooperation with the World Institute of Pain and American Caroline Pain Institute, and one of the most important scientific meetings during 2013 – ISABS Eighth Conference on Forensic, anthropologic and Medical Genetics, which was held from 24th to 28th June 2013 in Split. In addition, the physicians of the Hospital of St. Catherine are actively involved in a range of local and international projects. For instance, the project of regeneration of cartilage with the help of tissue engineering financed by the European Commission within the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and the Croatian project application of gene therapy in orthopedics.
