Bowen Technique

Bowen technique, also known as Bowen's method, is a therapy which includes gentle and precise manipulation of soft tissue. Movements which are done rolling movements with the forefinger and thumb of the therapist across the muscles, tendons and nerves with minimal pressure.

With Bowen's movement which is different and special, piezoelectric effect is ensured on the muscle fascia, tendons and inner organs, as well as sending signals to the brain that something is not right with that part of the body. The brain reacts to stimulation by relaxing the surrounding musculature, thus improving local circulation and regeneration processes. The fact that Bowen works across the tunics that envelop our body and that during treatment almost all body spots are stimulated, makes Bowen a holistic therapy.

Bowen therapy is applied to various difficulties because of its holistic approach to healing. These difficulties include: diseases and difficulties of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments), nervous system (neurologic difficulties, paresis and paralysis, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, dystonia syndromes with children), as well as stress issues (insomnia, anxiety, headache, gastrointestinal issues).

The technique is very gentle and does not have limitations regarding patient age. It can be used on newborn children or persons of older age.
