NeuroAIDS

The term NeuroAIDS refers to all neurological disorders such as dementia, neuropathy, brain infections and disorders of the spinal cord, all of which occur under the HIV infection.

Depending on which part of the nervous system is affected, symptoms may include headaches, vertigo, memory impairments, tingling, reduced mobility, pain and impaired vision.

Treatment is mostly done in the polyclinic but short-term hospitalization, depending on the phase disease and symptom intensity, is possible.
