Vesicoureteral Reflux (VUR)
Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is a condition in children where urine flows backward from the bladder into the ureters and kidneys due to an abnormal connection between the ureter and the bladder. This can lead to recurrent urinary tract infections and kidney damage. Treatment depends on the severity of the reflux and may involve antibiotic therapy and/or surgical intervention if necessary. Timely treatment prevents kidney damage.
