Skin and Subcutaneous Growths

Various growths can develop on and under the skin, such as moles, dermoid cysts, atheromas, lipomas, ganglions, hemangiomas, etc. Most growths are benign (non-cancerous), but some can be malignant (cancerous). The cause of a growth can also be a localized purulent inflammation (abscess) or a foreign body.
