Labial Adhesion

Labial adhesions or labial fusion occur when the small lips of the vulva stick together. In some cases, they can completely close the vaginal opening, leaving a very small passage for urine, which can cause urine dribbling and urinary infections. They are treated with estrogen or corticosteroid cream, and if necessary, a short surgical procedure can be performed to separate the adhesions.
