What is Profhilo® skin booster?
Profhilo® skin booster is the first stabilized hyaluronic acid product that does not contain BDDE (1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether) for the treatment of sagging skin. With one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market (64 mg in 2 ml of product), it stimulates and moisturizes the skin, reshapes old and sagging tissue, and gives excellent results both as an independent treatment and in combination with other aesthetic treatments. Its specialty is the combination of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, which is why the mechanism of action is not to achieve volume in the injection area as with dermal fillers, but rather slowly expands and integrates into the skin around the injection site and stimulates fibroblasts to secrete a new binder, which stimulates the increase fat cells and skin hydration.
What does Profhilo® skin booster treatment look like?
During the treatment itself, 2 ml of the product is applied. Since its beginnings on the market, the places of application have changed over time. It used to be applied in 5 previously defined points on each side of the face, but as the places of application change over time, now dermatologists apply it according to individual assessment, observing each patient's face separately. It is important to cover the entire face.
The treatment is minimally painful and lasts up to half an hour. The first results are visible after 1 to 2 weeks, and the full effect of the treatment is achieved one month after the first application. According to the protocol, a new application with 2 ml of Profhilo filler is done one month after the first treatment, when the full effect of maximum skin hydration is achieved. Of course, each puncture site where Profhilo is applied stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, which additionally leads to beautiful, shiny and well-hydrated skin that has a youthful appearance.
The final result is a gradual and long-term reduction of visible wrinkles, with a healthy and shiny appearance of the skin of the treated area. No special preparation is required before the treatment, and after the treatment the person can continue with all activities normally.
Repetition of the treatment
The application of Profhila is repeated 1-2 times a year in order to maintain the achieved effect. In one facial treatment, a total of 2 ml of Profhil is injected.
The treatment is determined for each patient individually, depending on the skin status, possibilities and expectations.
The most ideal time for application is spring, because everyone's skin is quite dry due to winter and dry air caused by heating, so it needs good hydration, which Profhilo offers, but also in autumn after the sea, sunbathing and summer joys, which also lead to skin dehydration.
