MRI of the Neck

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) of the neck is a non-invasive, safe, and highly precise diagnostic method that enables detailed imaging of soft tissues in the neck region, including lymph nodes, glands (such as the thyroid and parotid glands), blood vessels, muscles, and possible pathological changes like inflammations, tumors, or cysts.

MRI of the neck is recommended in the following cases:

  • enlarged or painful lymph nodes of unknown origin
  • suspected inflammatory or infectious processes
  • evaluation of tumors, cysts, or metastases
  • detection of changes in glands (e.g., thyroid, parotid, submandibular)
  • persistent neck pain or discomfort without a clear cause

Advantages of neck MRI:

  • high precision and detailed analysis of soft tissues
  • no ionizing radiation
  • early detection of diseases and changes that other methods may not identify
