MRI enterography

MR enterography is a procedure which gives us a detailed and precise examination of the small intestine. It is a modern alternative to an X-ray method which analyzes bowel movement and MSCT. The procedure is painless and non-invasive. It does not use ionizing radiation. MR enterography is used to diagnose chronic inflammatory disorders such as Crohn's disease and ulcerous colitis, small intestine tumors, celiac disease, for proving or ruling out complications such as fistulas or abscess formations, and in diagnosing other pathologic changes of the small intestine. The preparation for the procedure takes about an hour, while the procedure itself takes up to 30 minutes.
