Assistant Professor Tomislav Bulum, M.D., Ph.D, specialist in internal medicine, endocrinologist, and diabetologist, joined the team of St. Catherine in 2024.

Assistant Professor Tomislav Bulum, M.D., Ph.D, earned his doctoral degree in 2010. Since 2016, he has been teaching at the the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine, undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In March 2022, he was awarded the title of Primarius.

To date, he has published four book chapters and over 100 scientific and professional papers in indexed journals, with 70 of these as the first or corresponding author.

He was honored with the Croatian Medical Chamber Award for Scientific Contribution to the Advancement of the Medical Profession in 2023. His areas of professional interest include obesity, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and insulin resistance.
