Stipe Ćorluka, M.D. joined the team of St. Catherine Specialty Hospital in 2023
Dr. Stipe Ćorluka was born in 1986 in Zagreb. He graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Rijeka and is currently completing his doctoral dissertation at the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Zagreb on the topic “Identification of factors that affect professional injuries to the neck and lower back of dentists in Croatia”.
Dr. Ćorluka's surgical and scientific interests lie primarily in advanced and minimally invasive surgical techniques in the treatment of adult spine injuries and disorders and, in particular, on minimally invasive anterior approaches to the lumbar spine and cervical disc arthroplasty.
He is a permanent member of the AO Spine Knowledge Forum Degenerative, a scientific forum that deals with the improvement of the treatment of degenerative conditions of the spine within the world's largest organization for spine surgery (AO Spine). As part of this prominent international organization, he is the leader of research groups on the outcomes of the treatment of degenerative spondylolisthesis of the lumbar spine and choosing the optimal combination of implants and bony fusion promoters in ALIF procedures. He has published several scientific articles and book chapters in the field of orthopedics and traumatology.
He is a regular invited lecturer at the largest annual world congress of spine surgery, the Global Spine Congress. He also gives lectures and actively participates in numerous other international congresses, symposia, and courses.
