We are introducing prim. Savko Dobrota, M.D., radiologist, interventional radiology subspecialist
Prim. Savko Dobrota, M.D. joined the team of the Center for Radiology & Imaging of St. Catherine Specialty Hospital in the middle of 2022.
He was born on September 22th, 1960 in Split where he has finished primary and secondary school. He graduated from the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 1988. He has spent most of his resident internship at the Department of Radiology in University Hospital Center "Sestre milosrdnice" in Zagreb, where he passed the specialist exam on February 24th 2000. In 2010 he has finished the subspecialist exam in Interventional Radiology, and in 2021 he earned the title ‘Primarius’.
His areas of work at St. Catherine Hospital are an ultrasound of the abdomen, thyroid gland, testicles and Color Doppler of blood vessels.
He has finished several individual training courses and educations in endovascular interventions on peripheral blood vessels in Hamburg, Berlin and Graz. He is an author or co-author of several scientific and professional papers published in Europe and Croatia.
He is a member of the Croatian Medical Association (HLZ), Croatian Medical Chamber (HLK) since its founding, Croatian Society of Radiology (HDR), European Society of Radiology (ESR), Section for Interventional Radiology of Croatian Society of Radiology (sIRcro), Croatian Endovascular Initiative (HEVI) and Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE)
