Kristijan Ćupurdija, M.D., Ph.D. joined the team of the Centre for Minimally invasive surgery in the end of 2025.
Kristijan Ćupurdija, M.D., Ph.D., consultant, specialist in general surgery, subspecialist in abdominal/digestive surgery, subspecialist in surgical oncology, completed his medical studies, postgraduate studies and a master's degree at the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka, where he worked as a research fellow in the field of reproductive immunology. He completed his specialization and subspecialization at the Surgery Clinic of KB Dubrava, where he still works today. In 2011, he earned his doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb.
In his professional work, his specific areas of interest are gastrointestinal tumour surgery, hernia and gallbladder operations using both open and laparoscopic techniques, and obesity surgery. For the past 15 years, he has been engaged in proctology in a specialised proctology outpatient clinic and surgery.
