We are introducing Ivan Dilber, M.D., Ph.D. Candidate

Ivan Dilber, M.D., Specialist in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery joined the team of St. Catherine Specialty Hospital in the beginning of 2025

He graduated from the School of Medicine, University in Rijeka in 2010. After graduation, he completed his internship at the KBC Sestre Milosrdnice and passed the professional exam in 2017. He passed his specialist exam in 2024. During his specialization, he began his doctoral studies in Molecular Sciences and is currently in his final year, preparing to defend his thesis on molecular mutations in head and neck cancer, which is closely related to his work in surgery.

Since 2024, after receiving his specialization title in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, he has been working at the General Hospital Zabok and the Veterans' Hospital, where he heads the Breast Surgery Outpatient Clinic, dealing with oncological, functional, and aesthetic challenges in breast surgery, his primary area of expertise, alongside hand and facial injuries.

Throughout his professional career, he has participated in numerous domestic and international professional conferences. He is also a member of several professional societies.

His areas of special interest include aesthetic and oncological breast reconstruction, non-surgical and reconstructive facial aesthetics, hand surgery, as well as surgical and non-surgical management of skin changes and scars, and the treatment of acute and chronic wounds with the use of all modalities of regenerative medicine. He is currently working on the development of a new-generation patch prototype, based on electrical impulses, which accelerates wound healing and the treatment of hypertrophic scars.

At St. Catherine Specialty Hospital, Dr. Dilber performs procedures such as breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lift, gynecomastia surgery, correction of inverted nipples, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), Botox and dermal fillers, PRP treatment and surgical excision of moles (face, neck, body).
