Adelina Hrkać, M.D., Urology Consultant, FEBU joined the team of the Center for Urology of St. Catherine Specialty Hospital in the beginning of 2025
Adelina Hrkać, M.D., was born in 1985 in Split. She graduated from the "Marko Marulić" High School in Split and completed her medical degree at the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine in 2010. After graduating, she worked for 8 months as a family medicine physician in a dispensary in Sućuraj on the island of Hvar. Since her early university days, she has had a passion for surgery, and she fulfilled her dream in the field of urology. She began her specialization in 2013 at the Department of Urology of the "Sveti Duh" Clinical Hospital and passed her specialist examination in urology in 2020.
In 2024, she passed the subspecialty exam in neurourology and urodynamics, and that same year, by passing the EBU exam, she became a member of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). She improved her knowledge and skills in neurourology and urodynamics through an international training program at the Bristol Urological Institute (BUI), accredited by the International Continence Society.
She is particularly interested in urinary disorders, including incontinence and urinary retention, chronic pelvic pain, as well as neuro-urological diseases, and continuously explores new possibilities in this field. She actively participates in implementing laparoscopic surgery techniques for the urinary tract in everyday practice, continuously improving her expertise in Croatian and European centers of excellence.
She is the author and co-author of a dozen scientific papers in the field of urology and has delivered numerous lectures at domestic and international professional and scientific conferences.
