The work of our Darko Antičević, M.D., Ph.D., Orthopaedic Surgeon, Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon has just been published in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics.

The purpose of paper „Multicenter Series of Deformity Correction using Guided Growth in the Setting of Osteogenesis Imperfecta“ is to report a multicenter series of guided growth procedures in the setting of Osteogenesis Imperfecta.

A retrospective review of OI patients at three institutions from April 2012-April 2019 identified patients who underwent guided growth for angular deformity correction with minimum one year follow-up or full deformity correction and removal of the guided growth hardware. Clinical characteristics, deformity measurements and complications were collected and the above is presented in this paper.

This is the first multicenter series reporting the efficacy of guided growth in Osteogenesis Imperfecta patients and also represents an important international collaboration with the American Alfred DuPont Institute, Wilmington, Delaware.
