Participation in the Congress of the European Society of Pharmacogenomics and Personalised Therapy

Lecture by prof. Dragan Primorac, M.D., Ph.D. at the Congress of the European Society of Pharmacogenomics and Personalised Therapy.
Our prof. Dragan Primorac, M.D., Ph.D. gave a lecture at the 6th Congress of the European Society of Pharmacogenomics and Personalised Therapy on new advances in pharmacogenomics, held in Belgrade on November 9, 2022.
Harmful effects of drugs are one of the main reasons for improvement and mortality. However, pharmacogenomic testing has recently made it possible to understand the influence of an individual's genome on the action of drugs in the body and the occurrence of side effects. In addition, pharmacogenomics helps the doctor prescribe the best possible therapy as well as the dose of the drug, at the same time reducing the risk of side effects and overdose.
Prof. Dragan Primorac, M.D., Ph.D. is also the editor of the book "Pharmacogenetics in clinical practice: Experience with 55 drugs used in clinical practice" written in three languages (Croatian, English and German) and intended for the Croatian, EU and US markets.
