Our Multi-Cultural Heritage Singers

The St. Catherine Laboure Multi-Cultural Heritage Singers came into existence during the 2005-2006 school year. The reason for its creation was to reflect the cultural diversity of St. Catherine Labouré School and to demonstrate how children of such diverse backgrounds can attend school together in peace, tolerance, and harmony and blend their voices in unity. There are 21 students in the Multi-Cultural Heritage Singers with 15 nations being represented in this choral group. The singers are a true depiction of America as the “Melting Pot” of many nations.

The singers have had the wonderful opportunity to perform for the American Society of Association Executives, the Nursing Association, the Elementary School Principals Association, the St. Catherine Labouré Sodality, and the Department of Labor. However, the highlight of their singing performances was a year and a half ago when they performed for Mrs. Laura Bush at the National Press Club.

Mrs. Rosemary Clarke directs the Saint Catherine Labouré Multi-Cultural Heritage Singers and she is assisted by Mrs. Paula Krichbaum.
