Grades 6, 7, 8   SUPPLY LIST   2010  - 2011

 

Students must purchase, and always have available, from the first day of school, the following:

 

1 dispenser of scotch tape

36 #2 pencils (whole year’s supply)

1 pencil case

1 large pencil eraser

4 pens, dark blue or black ink ( no light colored inks and NO gel pens)

3 red pens 

1 metric and inch ruler

1 box of colored pencils

2 glue sticks

1 scissors - without sharp points

2 packages of college- ruled loose leaf paper

1 three ring binder with pocket dividers

 

The following items will be required in each individual subject.  Composition notebooks and folders should be the colors indicated for each subject.  All folders shall be plain with no cartoon slogans or writing on them.

 

English/Literature (Language Arts)

            1 Blue 2-pocket folder

            1 Blue  marble composition book

            1 Green 2-pocket folder,

            1 Green marble composition book

            2  jumbo book socks

            1 standard book sock

            1  Pocket/paperback Roget’s Thesaurus

            2 packs of lined 3 x 5 cards for vocabulary.

Math

            2 Black 2-pocket folder

            1 protractor

            1 scientific calculator, such as the Texas Instruments - TI 25

           

Religion

            1 purple marble composition notebooks for grades 6, 7 and 8

 

Science

            1 package of lined 3x5 index cards

            1 package of lined 5x8 index cards

            1 roll of paper towels

            1  yellow marble composition book

            1  large book sock

            l container of Clorox wipes

 

Social Studies

            1 Red Pocket folder

            1 pack of lined 5x8 index cards for grade 7

            2 red marble composition notebooks for grade 6

            1 red marble composition notebook for grades 7 and 8

            1 orange composition notebook

To be purchased at school:

 

1 Assignment notebook $5.00

2 math grid notebooks - $2.50 (These are needed all year long an d must be replaced when used up)

Emergency preparedness supplies $2.00

 

1 Blue tote bag , required for grades 5 and 6, ( 6th graders may use the one they bought for 5th grade)

 

*** If students in grades 7 and 8 have misplaced their New American Bible (Fireside Publishers only) they must purchase a new one for $10.00
