Volunteering is an essential aspect of our community here at SCL. Our school has successfully integrated family and parish community volunteers for a number of our programs and activities in the past, and new volunteers are always needed and welcomed. This is why there is a minimum requirement of at least 30 hours per family per academic year for parental/guardian volunteering here at SCL. Please note that this 30 hours is inclusive of the mandatory parent H.S.A. meetings and/or educational programs. • HSA Hospitality Committee Coordinators: The Home and School Association invites you to be a part of the event planning team for SCL.  Our Hospitality Committee is looking for new members to help coordinate the HSA's many fun events and socials for 2007 - 2008.  This creative, year-long volunteer commitment includes working on SCL's Open House, Halloween and Santa Socials, Catholic Schools' Week, Science Fair, HSA General Meetings, and other fun events.



• Become a room parent! Ask your child’s teacher to become one, or contact the room parent(s) in your child’s class, and find out how you can help.



• Ask your child’s teachers if there is anything you can do to help:
  • in the classroom
  • to take home and complete
  • phone calls to make
  • stocking up on depleted supplies



• Help to renovate the classrooms over the summer, and as needed for painting, etc. Contact Milt Hauser if interested: (301) 231-5849.



• Become a lunch or recess monitor, or an office volunteer: contact the main school office at (301)946-1717.



• Volunteer or donate supplies for music or art class, and the school library: see each teacher's requests at www.yourclasspage.com/3019461717.



• Can you help by serving and delivering hot lunch for our children? Can you help by cleaning up? How about providing donations of napkins, utensils, or foam plates?
